Madie Felix Sansoucie, '50, passed away on March 28, 2022 in Roswell, New Mexico. Lifetime Member.
Madie Felix Sansoucie, Age 89, went to be with his Lord on March 28, 2022. Madie was born on May 27, 1932 in DeSoto, Missouri to Benjamin Madie Sansoucie and Tina Luellea Parker Sansoucie. He was one of five sons and three daughters. Madie graduated from Boys Town High School. He enlisted in the US Air Force May 24, 1951 where he served until he retired on May 31, 1971 as a Technical Sergeant. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in 1974 and his Master’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University in 1983.
In 1974, Madie was married to Eleanor Southworth Murphy and became the step-father to Christy and Mike Murphy. Both Madie and Eleanor were teachers in the Roswell Independent School District where Madie taught Industrial Arts at Mesa Middle School and Eleanor taught elementary school. After enjoying 20 years of marriage, Eleanor passed away in January of 1994 at the age of 56.
Madie then married Linda Margaret Spurlock on May 27, 1995. Madie became the step-father to Allison Spurlock. Linda passed away in January 1998.
