May 3rd marks an important milestone for the newest graduates of Boys Town as they are formally welcomed by the Boys Town National Alumni Association during the annual Senior Welcome Lunch Steak Dinner honoring the graduating seniors.

This special event celebrates the transition from Boys Town student to Boys Town alumnus. During the luncheon, graduating seniors will be introduced to the Alumni Association and learn about the lifelong connection they now share with the thousands of alumni who make up Boys Town Nation.

A highlight of the event is the presentation of the Boys Town Alumni Coin to each graduating senior. The commemorative coin symbolizes the graduate’s entry into the alumni community and serves as a lasting reminder of their connection to Boys Town and to fellow alumni around the world.

The front of the coin features the iconic Boys Town Pylon, one of the most recognizable symbols of the Boys Town campus. Encircling the Pylon is the name Boys Town National Alumni Association, representing the community that graduates now join.

The reverse side of the coin reflects the continuing support available to all Boys Town alumni. It includes the Boys Town Hotline (1-800-448-3000) and the Boys Town Alumni Office (1-800-345-0458), along with the alumni website. These reminders reinforce an important message: the Boys Town family remains a lifelong resource and connection for every alumnus.

The Senior Welcome Lunch, revived after a long hiatus that began during the COVID-19 pandemic, marks the return of an important tradition for the Alumni Association. It symbolizes the moment when Boys Town graduates officially become part of a network that spans generations.

As these seniors begin the next chapter of their lives, they do so knowing they are now members of a proud and supportive community — Boys Town Nation.
