april-ascheman 26-35 Year Group  |  April Harper Ascheman, '93   |      While at Boys Town, I lived with Chris and Kara LeGrow and worked as a Police Cadet with the rank of 2nd Sargeant.  While my children were young, I worked in a maximum-security men’s prison.  That was not the place of rehabilitation that I wanted to be.  After 10 years, I switched to working college security which I did for 6 years.  I graduated college with my bachelor’s degree the same day our 3rd child graduated high school.  I have since earned my master’s degree.  For the last 3 years I have been working for Nebraska State Probation.  I am currently transitioning from an Adult Probation Officer to a Specialized Population Officer working with high-risk juveniles on probation.  I have remained in contact with and friends with many Boys Town alumni throughout the years.  I look forward to serving my fellow Boys Town family on the Alumni Board.   April is a Lifetime Member of the BTNAA.  Her term will expire in 2029.   Email
