James Leo Bolita, '57, passed away on November 10, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska. Lifetime Member.James Leo (Jim) Bolita, Class of ’57, passed away on November 10, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska. Jim was born on September 19, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York and began school at Boys Town in 1949.
With humor and a nod to his East Coast roots, his deep appreciation of Boys Town and love for the historic Old West, he fashioned himself the “Brooklyn Cowboy”.
After high school graduation, Jim began work in 1961 in Omaha for Metropolitan Utilities District (natural gas and water serviceman) and retired from there in 1997.
After joining M.U.D., he met and fell in love with his coworker, Marlene Bruening. Jim and Marlene were married in 1965. Marlene passed away in May of 2019.
Jim and his wife are survived by oldest son Tony, youngest son Jeff, and grandson, Wyatt James Bolita.
