Dennis Lee Buckman, '72, passed away on August 8, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska. Lifetime Member, Vice President BTNAA.
Dennis Buckman, was Baptized into the Hope of Christ's Resurrection on Thursday, August 8, 2019.
Survived by loving and devoted wife, Sherry Buckman; father of Ashley Buckman; grandfather of Elijah Buckman and special friend Aaron Meyers; cherished stepdaughter, Christy (Matt) Kriegler; grandchildren, Greg and Abby Kriegler; a great brother-in-law to Mike Jones; a special father-in-law to Chuck (Majorie) Jones.
Dennis was a friend to all. One of Dennis's love was to be involved in the Boys Town National Alumni Association (BTNAA). He was elected to the board of directors in 2017 representing the year group of alumni that spanned the 36-45 year period from graduation or departure from Boys Town and was recently elected Vice-President of the BTNAA on July 27th. Not only did Dennis represent his constituents he provided mentorship and support to a number of alumni over the years. He was a multi-talented man and enjoyed photography and woodworking.
SERVICES will be at Boy's Town Chapel on Tuesday, August 13, with VISITATION from 9-10am and SERVICES to begin at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Boys Town National Alumni Association, 14057 Flanagan Blvd., Omaha, NE 68010 would much be appreciated.
