Mr. Anthony John "Tony" Hurtado, age 84, of Kansas City Missouri, passed away Saturday morning, December 29, 2018 peacefully at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born June 5, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri.
 
Tony was raised with his brothers in Father Flanagan's Boys Town in Omaha NE. In 1954 he entered the Marines serving four years. He worked at a couple of jobs before settling in to a career and retiring with Mt Olivet Cemetery. Tony enjoyed swing dancing with his wife, camping with family, teaching his children different skills, and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
 
Tony was preceded in death by his father Antonio Hurtado, mother Gudelia (Galvan), three brothers, Ramiro, Juan Chevez, Ramon, and a step-brother Charles Luna. He is survived by his wife Carol Lee (Wolf) Hurtado, children Ronald (Carla) Hurtado, Antonia (Justin) Johnson, Tina Hurtado and Michael (Mitzi) Hurtado, his sister Cecilia (Leland) Shepherd and his brothers David (Lydia) Hurtado, Henry Hurtado, Joe Hurtado, and step-brothers Jessie (Shelly) Luna, Ralph (Karen) Luna, and John (Becky) Luna. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many other family members and friends who will dearly miss him.
 
Services were on, Friday, January 4 at Park Lawn, 8251 Hillcrest Rd.; private entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
