Stephen H Sternik, 75, of Stevens Point passed away, Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Stephen was born on December 27, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He loved sports, especially football, where his favorite team was the Chicago Bears. For many years he worked as a computer engineer, accountant, and retired as postmaster in Amherst. He was an avid fisherman and spent most of his weekends fishing out on the local lakes. He honorably served in the Air Force with special assignment in computer engineering.

Stephen is survived by his wife Barbara Sternik (Miller) of 52 years, three children: son Stephen R. Sternik (Tammy), daughter Theresa A. Sternik, and daughter Patricia A. Sternik-Engelbert (Peter), four grandchildren: Alexandria Baudek, Brett Sternik, Matthew Sternik and Maksym Engelbert, and one great grandson: Lane Spires: and seven sisters. Stephen was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents John Sternik (father) and Helen Sternik (Czarnik) (mother), bothers John Sternik, Lenard Sternik and Paul Sternik and sister Ceclia Sternik.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:30am-1200 pm, on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Amherst, WI.
