Glenn Earl Pruitt, age 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2018.  His last breath was taken after opening his eyes, gazing at his children surrounding him, and breaking a subtle smile.  He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on April 7, 1952 to the late Gail Pruitt and Betty McBride.  He spent his life working in auto-body repair and over-the-road trucking until he was forced into retirement due to health issues.  He had a knack for numbers and doing math in his head.  He was also a gifted musician who was able to play the piano by ear.  He will be missed for his constant wit and humor, drawing laughter with every word out of his mouth.

Glenn was preceded in death on April 6, 2015 by his wife of 26 years, Sharon Flott-Pruitt.  Also preceding him in death: his father, Gail Pruitt; mother and stepfather, Betty and Andy McBride; and brothers, Gail Pruitt and Jerry Pruitt.

He is survived by his children: Shawn Pruitt, Marc (Lisa) Pruitt, Stephanie (Steve) Hilger, Cassandra Steiner; and Andy Pruitt; stepchildren: Todd St. Onge, Anthony (Roberta) Flott, Siobhan (Tom) DeFeo, Rachel (Evan) Kraft, Jacob (Carla) Flott, and Melissa (David) Clements; 57 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters and brothe: Kim Pruitt; Kris (Skip) Slizewski; Galen (Kathryn) Pruitt, and Kara (Johnnie) Jones; sisters-in-law: Sandy Pruitt, Carol Pruitt, Sari (Nathan) McLaren, Robin (Kevin) Kane, and Roxanne (Levi) Duran; brothers-in-law, John (Lisa) Cox and Kim (Tracie) Cox; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews; including his nephew Jason Pruitt who referred to his bond with Glenn as like his “second dad”; lifelong best friend and brother by choice, Ron Andersen.

Special Thanks to the staff at Ridgecrest Rehabilitation Center for their dedicated care to our father, especially Rosa Davila, LPN, who was there for our father and us during his last hours and final moments.

Pallbearers for Glenn are his son, Andy Pruitt; his grandsons: Sam Clements, Erick Bazemore, and Mitchell Stewart; his nephew, Jason Pruitt; his brothers-in-law, John Cox and Kim Cox; and his best friend, Ron Andersen.

Ladies and gentlemen, Glenn Pruitt has left the building.  What an entertainer he was!  He was loved and will be greatly missed.
