Cary John Pflanz was born July 22, 1955, in Wayne  to  Richard and  Dorothy Ann “Mickie” (Finn) Pflanz.  He attended grade school at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Emerson, graduated from Boys Town High School and Milford Tech School.  He had various jobs working in Phoenix and Las Vegas  areas moving back from the southwest to Lincoln in 1990.  He was employed at the El Toro in Wayne, Midland Medical Supply in Lincoln, and most recently the 4^th Jug in Wayne.  His passion was music, playing his guitar, and all sports, especially baseball.
 

Cary is survived by his father, Richard “Dick” Pflanz of Wayne; siblings, Kelly (Lisa) Pflanz of Plymouth, Pamela (Nathan) Shelbourn of Lincoln, Todd (Jane) Pflanz of Lincoln,   Rich (Stacy) Pflanz of West Port, OK, Barbara Kubik of Lincoln,  Trudy (Dwight) Schultz of Wayne and Tammy (Don) Straight  of Lincoln; 16 nieces and nephews; aunts; and uncles.
 

Cary was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and “Gussie” Finn and Otto and Mary Pflanz; his mother, Dorothy “Mickie” Finn;  brother, Rob Pflanz; and step-mother, DeAnna Pflanz.
