David E. Miner, D'74, passed away on June 8, 2018 in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
David E. Miner, 60, of South Sioux City, Ne, passed away Friday, June 8 , 2018 at a local hospital.
David was born July 2, 1957 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of John and Goldie Nelson. When David was young he spent time in the old boys and girls home in Grandview Park in the early 1960's. He went to live with Bob and Betty Miner of Wakefield, Nebraska in 1968. In early 1970 he moved to Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska.
David joined the United States Navy in 1973. He met Judy Cain and had two daughters Brandy and Mary. David had a son from a previous marriage. He worked on the road sand blasting and painting for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; one son; a daughter, Mary; three grandsons, Tyler, Kolby, Skyler; one granddaughter, Braelynn; one great grandson, Bentley; four great granddaughters, Kimberlynn, Iraland, Savannah, and Harlee; also three step-grandchildren Josh, Jason, and Jorden Kleider. David was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandy Robertson; two brothers, Vernie Miner and Dale Jorgenson; and a sister, Helen Banks.
Funeral Services were held 10:00am Friday, June 15 , 2018 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Burial was at McCook Lake Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy.
