Gerald A. Volk, 45, of Coldwater, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996, in Community Health Center of Branch County after a one-year illness.

 

He was born June 25, 1951 in Elyria, Ohio, to William and Dorothy (Eddington) Volk and moved to Coldwater eight years ago.

 

He was employed as a supervisor at Alchem Aluminum for six years, retiring in 1995 because of ill health.

 

He married Darlene Wachlarz on Oct. 23, 1992.  She Survives.

 

Also surviving are daughters, Rachel, Polly and Renee Volk of Elyria, Ohio; three grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy Volk of Elyria, Ohio; stepsons, Russell and Kevin Wables of Coldwater; a stepdaughter, Wanda Cloven of Detroit; brothers, Daniel Volk of Elyria, Ohio and William Volk of Quincy; and a sister, Sherry MacIntyre of Elyria, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father.
