Let's Go to the Movies

oscar-movie-posterJoin the movie going crowd to view a screening of the Oscar winning film, Boys Town, at the stunning Durham Museum.

Since mid-October the Durham Museum has featured an exhibition that explored Boys Town's 100 year history.  The exhibit traces Boys Town's growth from the original home on Dodge Street through the making of the movie "Boys Town" to its move to Overlook Farm and todays programs that provides assistance to more than two million children and families each year.

The Durham will kick off the final week of the exhibit at 2 p.m. on January 14th with the screening of the movie Boys Town.  Tom Lynch, Director of Community Programs at Boys Town will give a brief talk about the history of the making of the movie and will have the original Oscar that was presented to Father Flanagan by Spencer Tracy for moviegoers to view.

Regular museum admission applies, but registration is required. Register at durhammuseum.org or by calling 402-444-5071.
