Reginald A. "Reggie" Welles, '57, passed away on March 21, 2017 in Omaha, Nebraska.  Lifetime Member and President of the BTNAA Omaha Chapter.

Welles, Reginald A. "Reggie" Jul 29, 1938 - Mar 21, 2017 Preceded in death by son Matthew; and grandson Justin. Born in San Jose, CA, he came to Boys Town in July 1951 from Lewiston ID, and graduated June 1957.  Reggie was a strong and active supporter of the Boys Town National Alumni Association and served many years in various offices in the Omaha Chapter of the BTNAA.  He was the President of the Omaha Chapter and instrumental in supporting the graduating senior Potluck Lunch and the Senior Welcome Luncheon on the first Sunday of each May.  Reggies unparalled support of the Father Flanagan League Society of Devotion was an important part of his spiritual life.  He was involved in the many pilgrimages and devotions held by the League and often gave testimonials to the pilgrimage group.  It was said of Reggie that he "bled Boys Town blue" and truer words were never spoken.  He was a loyal, vocal and active advocate for the home of his youth and a friend to all.  He will be missed.

Survived by wife Lois (Piontkowski); 2 daughters, Brenda (Dennis) Hare, and Stacie Welles; 3 sons, Thomas (Linda) Welles, Mitchell Welles, and David (Janet Young) Welles; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Reggie worked for Kuehne, Ortmann, and Peter Pan bakeries, Graystone Dairy, Fairmont Foods, and Skaggs/Osco drug.

Memberships included: Boys Town Alumni, Father Flanagan League Society of Devotion, Knights of Columbus Assembly #13956, Michael P. Dowling 4th Degree #0594, K of C, Chalice Club, and Altar Society.
