Richard C. Morro, '71, passed away on March 7, 2017 in Marquette, Michigan.

Richard C. Morro, age 63, of Baraga passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at UP Health System, Marquette.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 2, 1953 the son of the late Henry and Lucille (Loonsfoot) Morro. Richard graduated from Boys Town High School in Nebraska. He had worked in customer service in the oil industry. Richard was a member of The Most Holy Name of Jesus Church, Assinins, and the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, He enjoyed going to the casino, watching the Bears and Cubs, taking walks outside and spending time with his family.

Mr. Morro is survived by his loving children, son Richard Morro of Joliet, Illinois, Tammy Espinoza of Naperville, Illinois and Renee Adolphson of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren Autumn, Shad, Sadie, Ciara, Madisyn, Noah, Abigail and Eva, great grandchild Kaylee, wife Patricia Morro of Superior, Wisconsin, brothers Herb Morro and Daniel Morro both of Baraga, and sister Jackie Lemieux of Cloquet, Minnesota. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond, Jerry and Robert Morro and sister Carol Stevens.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, March 11, 2017 at The Most Holy Name of Jesus Church, Assinins with Father Corey Litzner, Celebrant. The family received friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m until the time of the Mass. Immediately following the Mass, the family invited friends to join them for fellowship and a luncheon at the Ojibwa Senior Center, Baraga.

Spring interment will take place in the Assisnins Cemetery.
