Kevin Wayne Woltman, D'63, passed away on January 17, 2017 in Larabee, Iowa. 

Kevin Woltman of Larrabee, age 66, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, at his home.
 

Kevin Wayne Woltman, the son of Frances "Elaine" (Bowen) and Wayne Woltman, was born in Cherokee on December 17, 1949. He received his early education at the Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Cherokee, graduating in 1968, and he was was very proud of his Alma Mater. He excelled at both tennis and golf. After graduation, Kevin attended Iowa Lakes Community College for one year, then he began working at the Wilson/Tyson meat packing plant in Cherokee, and his career continued there for the next 40 years. He made a number of great friends during his time at Tyson's, and kept in touch with many of them through Facebook following his retirement.
 

Kevin was an avid sports fan, and he compiled countless records of sports trivia and statistics. Kevin also enjoyed playing cards and watching his big screen TV, always with a Pepsi in his hand.
 

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and his step-mother, Eulalia (Miller) Woltman.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 22nd at the Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee, with Father Dan Guenther officiating, and burial followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cherokee.
