Dwite Pedersen became a counselor at Boys Town in the 1960s and through the years had a profound impact on the young men in his charge.  His positive demeanor and constructive manner care helped to shape the lives of hundreds of boys to become responsible adults after leaving Boys Town. 

Pedersen is a certified Substance Abuse, Compulsive Gambling and Adolescent Behavior Impaired Counselor.  He served as a Senator in the Nebraska State Legislature from 1992-2008. 

Pedersen faithfully attends Boys Town Alumni reunions and is an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Boys Town National Alumni Association.
