Arthur Henry Mollison born October 27, 1947 in Elko, Nevada, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in his home in Sacramento.  After a long and courageous battle with cancer Art went to his final rest in the arms of our Lord surrounded by the Molllison's who have gone before, rejoining his late wife Georgina and in company with Father Flanagan and his Boys Town brothers.

Art arrived at Boys Town with his older brother John, at the young age of nine, on August 15, 1957 from Lubbock, Texas.  While at Boys Town Art was a three-year varsity letterman on the swimming team and lived in the choir section.  He toured with the Boys Town Concert Choir while in high school.  Upon graduation he joined his family in San Francisco, California working to help his mother with his four younger siblings.  He was drafted into the U.S. Army and went through training at Fort Gordon, Georgia and transferred to Fort Benning, Georgia to go to jump school to become a paratrooper.  After completion of his service with an honorable discharge he returned to California and took up the trade of printing which he labored at for more than 20 years.

In 1985 he married his wife Georgina Peters.  Together they raised Georgina's son Chris and lived in San Mateo, California prior to moving to Sacramento.  While in Sacramento, Art volunteered his time and talents with the local food bank reaching out and helping many in need.  He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed a lift.  Art had a special interest in classic Packard and Studebaker cars and tinkered with the two he had for many years.  In his later years he reconnected with his niece Josefina and as his health became an issue Josefina became his caregiver.  He celebrated his 77th birthday last October with many family members in attendance and his remaining siblings John and Jim went for a visit with him in the late summer of 2024.

Art was preceded in death by his mother Luisa, father John, sister Mary, brothers Carlo and Marco (Marilyn), sister-in-law Diane Mollison (Jim), nephew Jim Mollison .  He is survived by his brothers John (Cheryl) and Jim, son Chris Peters (Cynthya), nieces Alexandra, Josefina, Teresa (Panfilo) and Dolores, nephews Eric and Christopher Mollison, Marco Mollison, Jr., John Mollison, III, Maxwell Mollison, nieces Deana, Amanda, and Casey, step-grandchildren and grand nieces and nephews.  His large circle of friends will miss his genuinley optimistic personality and his valued advice and wisdom.
