Joshua Eric Wescott, 35, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2024. He was a devoted son to Daniel Wescott and Ana Rosa Rodriguez and a beloved father to Joshua Ismael Wescott. Joshua is remembered as a loving brother to Carlos Rodriguez, James Gallardo, Gabriel Wescott, and Isaac C. Wescott. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who cherished him deeply.
Joshua has gone to be with the Lord, joining his late grandmother, Bertha Rodriguez. Joshua was an intelligent young man with an enormous heart. His love for fishing brought him countless peaceful moments. A dedicated Cubs fan, he cheered passionately for his team through every season. His kindness, generosity, and bright spirit touched everyone who knew him. He had a way of making those around him feel special and loved.
A passionate enthusiast of flying drones, Joshua also had a great love for motorcycles and cars. His family lovingly describes him as a true "handyman and mechanic," with a remarkable talent for tinkering with motors and electronics, always taking things apart and putting them back together. Joshua's vibrant spirit and love for life made a lasting impact on all who knew him. His faith and love for the Lord gave him the assurance that one day he would be in the Lord's presence, a belief he held deeply in his heart. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Services will be held at Central Chapel, 6158 S. Central, Chicago. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 3 to 8 pm. The funeral for immediate family will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 10 am in the chapel. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
