James Francis Congrove, '64, passed away on January 10, 2012 in Arvada, Colorado. Lifetime Member.
Congrove, Jim, 65, passed away on January 10, 2012. He is survived by wife Judy, daughters Jamie (Nick) Lombardi and Jennifer (Brad) Fawcett, granddaughters Lynn, Reagan and Allison, and sister Marie (John) Hebdon. Loved and admired by many; Jim will be greatly missed.
Jim Congrove was active in the Boys Town National Alumni Association serving on the board of directors. He was a regular attendee at alumni reunions and a strong a dedicated supporter of Boys Town. He was inducted into the Hall of History in 1999 at the Alumni Reunion. He served in the US Army with a combat tour in Vietnam. He was also an undercover narcotics detective.
Jim served as a representative in the House of the state of Colorado for two years followed by four years as a state senator. Subsequent to that he served as a Jefferson County Commissioner.
