Clifford Charles Fredericks, D'56, passed away on June 2, 2023 in Oakland, California.
Clifford Charles Fredericks was born July 25, 1939, to the union of Kenneth B. Smith and Judith Audrey Fredericks in Oakland , California.
He was a military veteran; having served in the US Marine Corps, where he was honorably discharged in 1960. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years.
Clifford was a man of Christ keeping Him at the forefront of his life. He attended Alameda Bible Fellowship. Along with working for USPS, Clifford worked for Family Radio a Christian radio station; combining his work ethic with his love for Christ. The church was the foundation of the union of he and his wife Odessa , whom he married February 14, 1988 and continued share a life of love for 35 years.
Clifford departed this life on Friday, June 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father; Kenneth B. Smith, mother; Judith Audrey Fredericks, and daughter Tracy C. Reeder.
He leaves behind the following who will cherish his memory; his lovely wife Odessa H. Fredericks, of Oakland, California; two stepdaughters Cynthia Upshaw of Texas and Robyn Williams of California, Stepson Keith Lewis of Texas. Grandchildren Chastidy Ostraut of California; Bryan Ostraut and Bradley Sellon of California. In addition he leaves behind the grandchildren he gained through his wife; Earle Fletcher III of California, Tashara Hill of Georgia, and Christopher Robinson of Texas.
