Robert “Bobby” Leo Maier, age 63, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on November 19, 2023. He was born on October 8, 1960 to Harold and Mary (Hoag) Maier in Toledo. Bobby was a 1978 graduate of Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska. He worked as a meat cutter and a chef with Kroger for years. Bobby was an avid dog and cat lover, his four-legged family members were extremely important to him. He loved music, and he was an avid pianist and Elton John fan. He enjoyed cooking for his family on holidays and other gatherings.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David and Mark Maier; family friend, Mary Jane Hummel; and several pets. He is survived by his siblings, Jim Maier, Chris (Julie) Maier, and Cathy (Jeff) Connell; special nieces, Melissa Maier and Erica Roberts; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his faithful dog, Cody.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 2:30 pm until 5:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Memorial Service will begin at 5:30 pm.
