obit_jack_hargrave_600x800Jack Fleming Hargrave, III, '71, passed away on December 14, 2023, in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

 

Jack Fleming Hargrave, III, 70, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away peacefully in his home on December 14th, 2023. He was born to Jack Fleming Hargrave, II and Jacquelyn May Burgett on May 5th, 1953, in Denver, Colorado. 
 

He graduated from Boys Town High School and studied mechanics before starting Jacks Auto Machine where he was a proud business owner for over 40 years. For about 6 years, Jack enjoyed spending Sundays at the racetrack helping the stock car teams fine-tune their high-performance engines. He maintained a strong work ethic throughout his life and was proud of his time working for The Daily Nonpareil as well as his management positions at American Games, MidAmerican Energy, and Ace Hardware. In 2004, American Games was awarded a pull-tab dispensing machine patent which Jack was proud to be listed as a co-inventor of. He would often go into businesses to see if his machine was in use. 
 

Jack married Jeanne Frances Camden on December 18th, 2006. They enjoyed traveling together and were well-known for their adventurous road trips. Together, they made a home in the Colorado mountains before retiring and relocating to Arkansas. Jack had a passion for photography and a love for the game of golf, which he was perfecting until his very last day. He enjoyed staying busy with engineering projects, sharing his ideas, and helping others at every opportunity. 
 

He will always be remembered for his warm smile, his incredible generosity, his witty sense of humor, his positive outlook on life, and his love for his family. He will also be remembered for his fondness for chocolate wax donuts, his appreciation for fast food, and his unique love of peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches. Jack lived life to the fullest and was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. 
 

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Hargrave; children, John (Maureen) Hargrave, Jeff (Jen) Hargrave, and Jill (Kevin) Koob; stepchildren, David (Danial) Camden, Melissa (Ryan) Lenagh, Jeff (Tracy) Camden, Jennifer Camden, Mark Camden; his sister, Diana Lynn; mother-in-law, Kathaleen Siebenborn; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
