ed-brady-1Colin E.  "Ed, Brady, '60, passed away on August 31, 2023 in Springfield, Missouri.  Lifetime Member.

Colin “Ed” Brady passed away in his home on August, 31, 2023 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma Brady. Ed was born in Akron, Ohio, on December 2nd, 1942. He spent a large part of his childhood growing up in Boys Town, Nebraska, where his mentors and teachers instilled in him a lifelong passion for helping others. He graduated from Boys Town in 1960.
 
In 1962, Ed enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Military Policeman until his honorable discharge in 1965. Always committed to the betterment of his community, Ed served on a variety of volunteer boards over the course of his life, among them the Boys Town & Girls Town of Missouri (currently Great Circle), Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Ozarks, the National Board of Trustees for Boys Town, and the Springfield-Branson National Airport (serving as Chairman from 2010 to 2011).
 
Ed’s legacy is carried on by his six children, Steve Brady and his wife Rebecca, Scott Brady and his wife Rachel, Charity Brady, Seth Brady, Sarah Saunders and her husband C.J., and Molly Palmietto and her husband Vito, as well as seven grandchildren, Victoria, Nicolas, Nathan, Gabriel, Anna, Julian, and Arya. He is survived by his brother James “Jim” Brady. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine Brady, and brother, Gerald “Jerry” Brady.
 
A public visitation was be held at Klingner-Cope at Rivermonte, 4500 S Lone Pine Road in Springfield, on Wednesday, September 6th, at 11:00 AM with a service following at 12:00 noon.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks for donations to be sent to the organization Boys Town in Nebraska.
