William Clarence Whitney, III, '73, passed away on November 22, 2022 in Dallas Center, Iowa.
William Clarence Whitney the III 68, of Dallas Center, Iowa passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, on November 23rd.Bill was born on 08/27/1954, to Betty Jane Whitney and William Clarence Whitney Jr. in Lincoln, Nebraska. After Bill graduated from Boys Town, he pursued an education at DMACC in construction where he graduated with a presidents award. Bill was well known for his lawn care business where he specialized in tree work. Bill also enjoyed being an self-certified handyman using his unique sense of creativity, intelligence, and innovation.
When Bill began experiencing symptoms associated with ALS and could no longer work he enjoyed spending time at home with his beloved pets. Throughout his entire life he enjoyed his interactions with others while expanding his business, traveling, and watching television.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica (Ekis) Whitney; daughter, Cheyenne; and many other family members. Cremation has occurred and his celebration of life will be held at Grace Brethren Church in Dallas Center, IA on April 22, 2023 at 2:00pm.
