Michael John Zeestraten, '73, passed away on January 8, 2023 in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Michael J. Zeestraten 67, was born on December 16, 1954 unto the union of Benjamin & Sandra Zeestraten in Grand Rapids, MI. Michael was the first of seven sons and daughters. He was raised by his grandfather Pete Zeestraten.In his youth Michae gained an education and technical training at Boy's Town in Nebraska. As an adult he served in the United States Navy. After his service in the navy and becoming a veteran, Michael went on to learn electronics, manage restaurants and to become a counselor at a drug rehabilitation center.
After retiring Michael attended a Christian School. Michael had a deep love for the Word of God and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. From his home with family he enjoyed bible study. Online he shared the Word of God and taught many around the world.
Michael is survived by his wife Brenda Zeestraten, six siblings, many step children, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren that loved him.
