Willis Lee Kirkpatrick, D'85

Willis Lee Kirkpatrick, D'85, passed away on December 12, 2006 in Wahoo, Nebraska. 

obit_willis_kirkpatrick_600x800Willis Lee Kirkpatrick, 36, of Kearney died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Wahoo, Neb.

Willis was born Feb. 5, 1970, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Albert and Barbara (Lee) Kirkpatrick. He grew up in Council Bluffs and received his education at Washington and Kern Schools. He received his general education diploma in 1998.

He worked for Interstate Structures in Kearney and was currently employed by Scott Daake as a mason. He loved fishing all of the time and attended Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholic Anonymous meetings.

He also loved his children. He is survived by his fiancee, JoAnna Johnson; sons, John Kirkpatrick, Andrew Peasley, Lane Duncan and T.J.; daughters, Stephanie Strub and Cheyenne Kirkpatrick; a brother, James Kirkpatrick; a sister, Gayla Brace; his mother, Barbara Hanson; a grandmother, Caroline Lee of Scottsbluff, Neb.; and special friends, Melissa Wiseman and Heather Kirkpatrick. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Kirkpatrick.
