Samuel "Sam" Lee Sanders, '66 passed away on December 18, 2015 in Cantonment, Florida. Lifetime Member.

obit_sam_sanders_600x800Sam Sanders, 67, of Cantonment, FL passed into the arms of our loving Lord and Savior on Friday, December 18, 2015. He was not any pain and was surrounded by his family.
 
Sam was born in Nebraska and he served 24 years in the US Army with a tour in Vietnam and Desert Storm, retiring in 1993.
 
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Sanders and Harriette Watson; children, William and Kevin Sanders.
 
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Sanders of 46 years; son, Samuel Jr. (Darlene) Sanders; sister-in-law, Patricia Sanders; brothers and sisters, Earl “Mike” Sanders, Thomas (Karen) Sanders, Kathleen (Steve) Stabler, Richard Sanders and Catherine (Sonny) Swindle; five grandchildren, Stacey, Cammie, Devin, Matthew and Emily and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kendall, Kelsey and Brileigh.
 
Sam was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed his time with his family, loved his grandkids and always cared so much. He was the man who you could sit and talk for hours no matter of his health he wanted to care for his wife the most. His favorite past times was old movies, history channel, western books, sports and of course telling old stories. Pallbearers will be Nathan Cutler, Daniel Cain, Devin Kight, Keiths Eads, Eddie Thornton and Ronald Bumgarner II.
