The BTNAA Scholarship Fund board met on January 19th and awarded scholarships to four applicants for the upcoming winter term.

Meeting on January 19, 2022, the BTNAA Scholarship Board considered four applications for scholarships for this winter term.  Each of the applicants submitted completed applications that outlined their need and their career goals.

The following were awarded scholarships: 
  • April Ascheman, '93 who is pursuing a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice and Administration at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.
  • Michael Okpalefe, '17 who is pursuing a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Tai Larsen, '17 who is studying Business-Transfer at Metro Community College in Omaha, Nebraska.
  • Laura Fisher, '17 who is pursuing a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue Univeristy in Bellevue, Nebraska.
To date, the Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $600,000 in scholarships since it was founded in 1965. The board of directors, all volunteers who give freely of their time, work diligently in considering each application.  They meet three times a year, January, April and July to consider applications and award scholarships.  Learn more about the BTNAA Scholarship Fund here.
