James Michael Whitmarsh, 73, Niceville, FL, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

 

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:30AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC. Interment was held in the Catholic Section of St. Matthew at Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews, NC.

 

Mr. Whitmarsh was born on April 15, 1942 in Boston, MA, son of the late William and Mildred Whitmarsh.

 

He was a Computer Engineer, however after retiring he continued to work as a Flight Simulator Technician. He was a member of Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church in Niceville, Florida and enjoyed working with model airplanes, sailing and traveling all over the world.

 

Survivors include his beloved wife Josefa B. Whitmarsh; children Joshua B. Whitmarsh, John B. Whitmarsh, Melissa J. Whitmarsh and William “Billy” Whitmarsh; sister-in-law Flora Johnson; niece Kimmy Johnson; brother-in-law Bob Murphy; and by his faithful 4 legged companions Mahena and Mr. Pete.
