Wenceslaus J. "Joe" Havlik, 60, of West Burlington died at 5:30 P.M. Monday, November 28, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City of a brain aneurysm.

Born March 3, 1945, in Waterloo, he was the son of Antone and Elenora Pashek Havlik.

Mr. Havlik was a contractor.  He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was a member of the Flint Hills Golf League.

Survivors include one daughter, JoDean "Jodi" Clark of Waterloo; two grandchildren; one brother, Walt Havlik of Adel; four sisters, Elsie McElmeel of Waterloo, Joanne Snodgrass of Dike, Helen Schmidt of Center Pointe and Kathy Hanson of Belleview, Florida; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sunday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The funeral for Mr. Havlik will be at 7:30 p.m., with the Rev. Philip Schmidt officiating. Private family burial will be in Waterloo at a later date.
