Richard L. "Ace" Curtis, '61, passed away on February 5, 2016 in Hopewell, New Jersey.  Lifetime Member.

 
obit_richard-curtis-600x800Richard Curtis, 73 years old, passed away Thursday February 5th, 2016 at the Capital Healthcare Center in Hopewell, NJ.
 
Born in Prineville, Oregon, Richard graduated from Fr. Flanagan's Boy's Town in Omaha, NE. He then enlisted in the United States Army, where he became a Special Forces Green Beret and served two tours in Vietnam. He then trained to be a Physician's Assistant, and after 26 years, retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CW3). Mr. Curtis went on to work as an Orthopedic Physician's Assistant at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York and St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, long time member of the National Academy of P.A.'s, and active with Marriage Encounter and Pre-Cana in the Diocese of Metuchen. A world traveler and Country & Western enthusiast, Richard also loved to hand craft leather art.
 
Mr. Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Frances; by his daughters, Francine Alvarez and her husband Julio of Houston, TX and Michelle Curtis-Lasichak and her husband Michael of Wiesbaden, Germany; by his grandchildren, Curtis and Michael and his wife Ashley, great-grandchildren, Bryson and Riley, and by his siblings, Timothy and Patricia Curtis.
