He was born in York, Neb., on June 2, 1947, to the late Raymond and Jean Penner. William graduated from high school and then proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had owned and operated a heating and air conditioning business in South Omaha for many years.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Laird.
 

William is survived by his children, Krystal Swinarski, Carrie Fischer (Doug), Matthew Penner (Leslie Spetman), Megan Major (Shaun); siblings, Don Penner, Karen Kudlacek, (Richard), Pam Hobza (Don), Kathy Sullivan, Jeffrey Kouba (Laurie), Mark Buresh (Janelle), Bonnie Rodr, Dan Busch; 11 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

 

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. and the service will start at 7 p.m., on Friday, at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the National Cemetery.
